Description
The back-illuminated Kinetix22 Scientific CMOS (sCMOS) camera delivers high speed imaging with an optimized field of view for most modern microscopes, the most balanced pixel size and near perfect 96% quantum efficiency.  The Kinetix22 has recently had some major upgrades! Kinetix22 cameras now boast up to 33% higher frame rates across all modes, along with a higher full well capacity mode in Speed Mode. The Kinetix22 features four modes, allowing users to prioritize different camera specs, optimise imaging, and avoid compromise.  The 8 bit Speed mode offers 664 fps across the full frame, 12 bit Sensitivity mode offers low 1.2 e- read noise while operating at ~120 fps, 16 bit Dynamic range has large full well capacity for varied signal levels in the sample, and 16 bit Sub-Electron mode offers EMCCD like sensitivity with 0.7 e- read noise. The Kinetix22 delivers a tremendous 664 frames per second (fps), full frame across the entire 22 mm diagonal field of view. This speed significantly outperforms typical sCMOS devices while featuring a higher megapixel sensor.  The optimized line time results in a data rate of almost 3000 megapixels/second, around 5x greater than typical sCMOS devices. The Kinetix22 back-illuminated camera achieves a near-perfect 96% quantum efficiency.  By bringing the light in from the back of the sensor, photons land directly onto the light receiving surface, maximizing light collecting capability. This allows for the weakest signals to be displayed as high quality image, even if your sample typically only emits a handful of photons. The Kinetix22 includes Sub-Electron mode, which has read noise levels around 0.7 e-.  In this mode, multiple measurements of the pixel value are taken, providing reduced noise from the camera. In addition, Sub-Electron mode uses a high sensitivity gain, so low signal levels provide great image contrast. With the low camera read noise in other modes, the Kinetix family represents the most versatile cameras on the market. The Kinetix22 features 6.5 µm x 6.5 µm pixels, the accepted standard for most live cell applications using 40x and 60x magnification.  This pixel size provides highly detailed images across the imaging plane and is most suitable for the broadest range of microscope objectives. The Kinetix22 features Pattern Noise Reduction Technology and Correlated Noise Reduction Technology to ensure that it delivers clean, pattern-free images with minimal pixel defects, delivering improved image quality in low light conditions.
