Description

AUROX Clarity —  The easy and affordable compact upgrade to laser-free confocal imaging using your existing fluorescence microscope.  Clarity packs 15 years of Aurox confocal microscopy and optical technology into a compact, high performance confocal imaging system.  Aurox’s patented structured illumination combined with a spinning disc is designed to fit virtually any microscope to achieve high resolution, high quality confocal images, fast, easily and affordably.  Clarity has a standard microscope C-mount connector and a range of coupling adaptors to fit  most microscope models from all major manufacturers current and discontinued models.  Clarity is extremely compact, having dimensions 308 x 226 x 135 mm (WDH) and weighing <6Kg. It can be mounted on upright and inverted microscopes, left or right camera ports.  Clarity can be connected to a wide range of large format sCMOS and CCD cameras. List below.  Clarity incorporates an internal 4-position filter cube turret, accessed via an external door. The turret accepts Aurox’s custom sized filter cubes which incorporate both emission and excitation filters. These filter cubes are user exchangeable and quick and easy to replace by hand and without tools.  A wide range of Aurox filter cubes are available to cover the commonly used bandwidths, which include multi-pass quad band filter cubes.  Custom filter cubes can be produced for your specific research application needs.  Designed for use with LED and metal halide light sources, Clarity is free from laser safety restrictions and benefits from low photo-toxicity, low-bleaching, low maintenance and low cost of ownership.  The high speed version, ClarityHS provides up to 100 frames per second imaging when paired with a compatible high speed camera e.g. Hamamatsu Flash 4.0 V3 with “Camera link option” and a Shuttle computer.
