Description

The Excelitas X-Cite® 120Q delivers rich spectral excitation and uniform wide-field fluorescence illumination to the sample plane. Designed with our proprietary Intelli-Lamp® technology for maintaining optimum lamp temperature and automatically accumulating lamp hours, the X-Cite 120Q provides more than 2000 hours of life. Its 120 Watt lamp is pre-aligned allowing a simple, one-step process for replacements. The optional adjustable iris allows the user to set the intensity level of illumination with a built-in 5-step iris to optimize specimen illumination and help minimize photobleaching of fluorophores. The X-Cite 120Q illumination system is ideally suited for routine assays and use in multi-user facilities.

Remote placement of the unit ensures that no heat or vibration is transferred to the microscope and allows you to optimize valuable work space.  Hot strikes shorten lamp life and cause premature intensity degradation. The Intelli-Lamp continually monitors lamp temperature, preventing restrikes until the lamp cools to a ‘safe-to-restart’ state.  X-Cite adapter optics are designed and tested specifically for each microscope model to optimize intensity and provide superior illumination uniformity. With a wide selection of adapters available, X-Cite is compatible with all major microscope brands.  X-Cite systems are designed with safety in mind, from the safety interlock switches and light shields to help protect against accidental UV/bright light exposure to meeting strict international safety standards for laboratory equipment.
